7 Hours To Go – Spot The Blunder
This Indian Bollywood movie that released last week has some errors in detailing. This particular post talks about the incorrection seen in the above movie advertisement poster. What looks out of place to you?
The female protagonist has an improper way of handling the gun she is holding, or shall we say guns. Why two guns? Two guns cannot give a tactical advantage. Having one hand in the dominant or master hand would be the ideal way to shoot. The second gun can only be for backup ammunition, so why not carry that backup as a cartridge in the pocket? And with one gun weighing at least 750gm – 1kg, can the lady shoot right with so much weight in her hands? And if the intention of the shot is to show the lady ready to shoot, as the rest of her body language is conveying, why is her left hand index finger not on the gun trigger? Small details matter, and how you project the body language of the actors can make or break your advertisement and your movie. Research suggests nonverbals make up for more than 80% of what we wish to communicate.

FAQ’s
Why do small nonverbal details influence how a message is perceived?
Human perception processes behavioural signals faster than verbal information. Even minor inconsistencies in posture, gesture, or object handling can create cognitive friction for the viewer. When the body contradicts the intended narrative, observers often sense that something is “off,” even if they cannot immediately explain why.
How do behavioural inconsistencies affect credibility in visual communication?
Credibility is built through coherence between intention and observable behaviour. When visual cues appear impractical or unrealistic, the audience’s attention shifts from the message to the inconsistency itself. This momentary doubt weakens the overall persuasive impact of the communication.
Why does the way someone handles an object matter in body language analysis?
Object interaction is a powerful behavioural signal. The way a person holds tools, devices, or props communicates competence, familiarity, and intention. When this interaction looks unnatural or inefficient, observers subconsciously question the authenticity of the scenario being presented.
Can audiences detect nonverbal inaccuracies even without formal training?
Yes. Most people possess a natural sensitivity to behavioural patterns developed through everyday social observation. While they may not articulate the specific mistake, they often register that the behaviour does not align with what the situation appears to demand.
What can leaders learn from analysing behavioural details in visual media?
Studying behavioural details sharpens observational intelligence. Leaders who train themselves to notice subtle inconsistencies in posture, movement, or interaction often become more perceptive in real-world situations such as negotiations, presentations, and high-stakes discussions.
