After what is the most expensive divorce ever in the world, Amazon founder Jeff Bezos was publicly spotted with his new lady love Lauren Sanchez during the recent Wimbledon match. What does the picture’s release hint about the depth of their relationship? Are they really close to each other, or was what we saw more of a rehearsed bonding? Is such an analysis even possible? Read as we analyze the body language of the duo from the picture files at Wimbledon.

Towards the end of his marriage, you see him standing distanced from his wife in the pics compared to their cheek-to-cheek touch pics during earlier times. Even the way he is holding his wife is not his usual style – he usually used to put his hand on his wife’s back or around her waist.

Sanchez appears to be an extrovert who finds it easy to put people at ease. She has expressive body language that easily varies from inviting, if she is the host, to slightly dominating if she is on screen as a guest. Since her cosmetic surgeries and botox could hamper her real facial expressions, one would need to rely a lot on other body languages as well. Sanchez is also someone who is used to having people stand really close to her (stepping into her personal space) since she keeps interviewing people from very close.

Observation of the chemistry as a couple
It looks like Bezos is initially a bit excited yet apprehensive. His hands are withdrawn close to his body and expressions of cheering loudly when the crowd around him is not reacting at all show the tense excitement. Could this be apprehension of the crowd observing him with his lady?

Sanchez appears reserved or is taking time to settle down
Bezos keeps going back again and again to Sanchez. If he were aware of cameras, which made him initially apprehensive, he soon settles in. Sanchez however looks reserved in a lot of pictures, and not like her usual bubbly self visible in her usual pictures and videos. Perhaps she was a bit cautious of being clicked together or didn’t want to show a public display of affection. Or perhaps she was just not as much into Bezos as he is into her. It is definitely visible that she is guarded in most of the pictures.
Is the behavior rehearsed?
Bezos and Sanchez are both personalities used to being in front of the cameras. So what we observed in the pictures, could it be a “display” rather than their natural selves? Bezos definitely seems to be trying hard to open Sanchez up because he continues to keep leaning towards her and his body-oriented towards her, directing a lot of attention to her during the game, even when at most times pictures are clicked she is not reciprocating to match his level of excitement. It does seem a bit strange.

CONCLUSION
One would expect them to have similar energy levels since they supposedly share great chemistry. In fact Sanchez’s personality might demand her to be the one more loud and expressive with her body language but that’s not visible in the pictures. Maybe with time, when the couple spends more time with each other openly, they might appear more relaxed and share similar body language displays.
