ABOUT GURU SMT. GIRIJA NAIR
Guru Smt.Girija Nair is an accomplished dancer of the rich Indian classical dance form- Bharatnatyam. She established Geeta Nritya Vidyalaya in 1981 & is called Gurukul, which is a temple of various art forms. The institute in 2013 visited Mauritius with a group of 40 students. In 2015 the institute also established gurukuls in Dubai and the USA. Ms. Nair has been awarded the Satyabhama Award at Vishakapatnam and other awards at Kolkata and Ambajogai. Her quest for learning is endless and she has achieved many milestones in her passion for dance. She continues to inspire innumerable children to take up Indian cultural dance as a way of expressing their passion and for many, an alternative career path.
